College And School Of Education Academic Programs

Online Education Programs
The Center for Teacher Education (CTE) offers undergraduate licensure programs in Early Childhood, Elementary, Secondary, and K-12 education. The Teachers College at Western Governors University is granted accreditation at the initial-licensure level from CAEP, the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation, 1140 19th St NW, Suite 400 Washington, DC 20036 (202) 223-0077. Early Childhood teachers work mainly with grades prior to third grade.
You can also teach other aspiring teachers at a higher education institution with a Master’s degree. Students admitted in the fall 2017 follow the fall 2018 degree pathway. This program leads to initial licensure and a Graduate Certificate with an option to complete a Master’s of Arts in Education.
Education Degree Program Bachelor’s & Master’s
Professor teaching class of education degree students. Kindergarten and elementary school teachers must hold a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. The degree completion programs will become a good venue for the student who wants to pursue higher education in an innovative way. These two degrees differ only in additional required science courses.
After high school, students progress to university, where they study for a Técnico Superior universitario (Associate degree) 111 or a licenciatura (Bachelor), then a maestría (Master), then a doctorado(doctorate). In this course, students will examine research related to learning styles and implications for curriculum and instruction.
